Mozhi-Mind Blowing

Yeah my blog about this film may be a touch too late in the day, considering that Mozhi has completed 100 days and has already shown in Kalaigner TV.There is nothing more I can write or review about. But definitely I can write about those moments which has impressed me and words of appreciation for the entire crew and artistes.

It is not often that that you come across movies with this refreshing theme and treatment from tamil movie makers.Being prone to male chauvinism and feudal mindset, this movie is sophisticated and urbane enough to catch your attention on many such small details that Radha Mohan needs more than a mere pat on his back.

The strange(for tamil audiences in general) thing that catches you by surprise is how the male protagonist falls for a girl who shows remarkable courage by beating a drunken man on the streets. To top it all she is mute and least ashamed of her disability.

The other aspect which makes this movie different is its humor content, of being tongue in cheek and having genuine wit and sarcasm.Particularly Prakash Raj's witty remarks on the benefits of pundu (garlic) in an inebriated state. And his "romantic interludes" with Swarnamalya at the fag end and how one can test him on he being a CBI officer.

And the characters all have a vulnerability which makes them life like....
There are quite a few emotionally overwhelming moments as opposed to scenes which are too obvious for me to elaborate here.

One of all time best of tamil movies.
